Jerome Rose, Louisa Beard and Stan Zielinski in the recital room at Chappells
JEROME ROSE, hailed as “the Last Romantic of our own age” and one of America’s most distinguished pianists recently gave a series of acclaimed masterclasses to students of London based teachers Norma Fisher and Angela Brownridge. The events were also opened up to an audience of delighted Chappell's customers. The masterclasses were produced in association with Yamaha Artist Services Europe.
Mr. Rose has given masterclasses at the Moscow Conservatory, the Chopin Academy in Warsaw, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Munich Hochschule, and the Toho Conservatory of Music in Tokyo, Japan. He is on the Faculty of the Mannes College of Music and is Founder/Director of the International Keyboard Institute & Festival held every summer in New York City so this was a very special occasion for the many students attending. Mr. Rose was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Music from the State University of New York for his lifetime achievement in music and he continues to give masterclass and recitals in the US, Israel, Taiwan, and Europe.
Nigel Hill is the manager of Chappells and he comments " we were thrilled to host such high-level and prestigious masterclasses with Jerome Rose, these sort of events alongside our own Chamber series and lunchtime conservatoire concerts are really putting Chappells on the live music and educational map in the capital."
