6/1/2012 [About Yamaha]
We’re at the Butlins Mineworkers Open Brass Band Festival on 20th - 22nd January 2012 & Royal Northern College of Music Festival of Brass on 27th - 29th January 2012

This January, Yamaha will be packing some of best and shiniest brass instruments into our trusty transit van and will be heading up to Skegness and Manchester for the Butlin’s Mineworkers Open Brass Band Festival and the Royal Northern College of Music Festival of Brass. We will have on display our fantastic new Neo range of brass instruments, and you will also be treated to a look at our Silent Brass series that offers the advantage of practicing or playing at times and in places you couldn't before.
True to its meaning “Modern Form”, Neo brass instruments are based upon knowledge accumulated through developmental research at the molecular level. Utilising this knowledge to select materials and devise processing methods, these instruments have come to form through a combination of our most advanced technologies, the expertise of our master craftsmen and in close consultation with some of the world’s finest brass players. This year, as always, Yamaha will be on hand to answer any of your questions, and of course, tell you all about the new instruments!
On top of our display of instruments, the Royal Northern College of Music Festival of Brass also features Yamaha trumpet artist Rex Richardson, “An artiste with an exceptional talent who has made a name for himself as one of the finest trumpet players in the world today”. Alongside of Rex, Yamaha trombone artist, Peter Moore, the youngest ever winner of the BBC Young Musicians Competition, will also be performing in the final concert, so make sure you don’t miss your chance to see this exeptional young talent.
Of course, if you are unable to get to Butlins, we will be regularly updating our Twitter page and uploading photos of the day to the Yamaha Neo Facebook page so make sure you check that out.
It promises to be another exciting year in the brass band world and we look forward to seeing you at all of the upcoming events!
