HJ Lim to record the complete Beethoven Piano Sonatas on Yamaha CFX

2012 sees the dynamic pianist HJ Lim producing a spectacular recording of the Complete Beethoven Piano Sonatas using Yamaha's flagship concert grand piano, the CFX.
HJ Lim, signed to EMI Classics earlier this year, and for this recording HJ has curated the sonatas into eight themes which will be released as four 2CD sets throughout 2012.
South Korean born HJ Lim relocated to France at the age of 12 and at the age of 15 she became the youngest person ever to be awarded the Diplome d'Etudes Musicales Complete ( Normandy). Continuing her studies she went on to graduate with First Prize and Highest Distinction from the Conservatoire National de Rouen and the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris.
Now resident in Switzerland HJ came to global attention when in order for her family in Korea to be able to watch her perform she started to upload recitals to You Tube. The first recital went onto generate almost half a million views and thus HJ broke into the Classical Music world with high impact.
Yamaha Artist Services Europe are working closely with HJ Lim on the
2012 recording project and are proud that the CFX is so vital to HJ's
sound and musical personality.
