This November, saxophonists around the UK will have the opportunity to hear, and learn from the fantastic Otis Murphy. The award-winning saxophonist will be visiting UK colleges, conservatoires and venues performing and taking master-classes.
Alongside of working with students from the Royal Northern College of Music, Chetham’s School of Music, the Royal College of Music, Leeds College of Music and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Otis will also be performing and providing workshops open to the public.
The first public workshop will take place during the RNCM Sax Day on the 16th November where Otis will also be performing in the evening concert alongside the Chris Potter Quartet.
On Wednesday 19th, Otis will be giving an evening clinic and performance at the Sax.co.uk store in Crowborough and the following evening will be at The Gallery @ Foyle’s (Charing Cross Road) London, where he will be taking a master class followed by a performance.
These workshops promise to be a valuable experience for all saxophonists with participants benefiting from Otis’s advice and experience as well as being able to hear some fantastic performances.
