There is only one gig to talk about this month … GLASTONBURY 2011! Below is just a small selection of which Yamaha artists will be appearing IN YOUR MUDDY FACE at Glastonbury this year, and which artists on their Yamaha gear are available to download IN YOUR EARS this month… don’t forget your wellies!

The Saturdays – Notorious
The girl band of the moment have taken an edgier feel to their new single ‘Notorious’, with heavily synthesized beats the band use Yamaha synths and drums live! As for the video, I wish they worked in my office (check it out!)
Take That – Progress
The man band continues to rule England with not only their sell out ‘Progress Tour’ but with the album of the same name at top of the album charts! With fans new and old alike enjoying new and old tracks, they aren’t going anywhere! Yamaha gear used: CP300 stage keys & Oak Custom drums.
Adele – 21 / 19
Adele for prime minister, as she can do no wrong! Still in the top 3 of the album chart, with both her debut ‘19’ and new ‘21’ albums. As well as touring the UK and states Adele is releasing tune after tune, we love her at Yamaha HQ! For live events Adele’s keys player uses the MOTIFXF8.

Using Yamaha's Air Seal system for the first time allows the use of oak in a drum shell. As in our Maple and Birch series, this process delivers a shell that's perfectly round, with uniform thickness and excellent durability. The bass drum shell is 7-plys while the toms and floor tom shells are 6-plys. All shells throughout the entire range deliver a solid fundamental and powerful sound. These small, oval-shaped lugs are easily attached to the shell with a single bolt. This means minimum lug to shell contact allowing the shell to deliver maximum tone. Long found on our high-end drum kits our original YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system is on all Oak Custom toms and floor toms. Oak Custom is available in four High-Gloss Hand-Buffed finishes: York Honey Amber (AMO), Musashi Black (MSB), Red Oak (ROK), Silver Sparkle (SLS)
