Simon Bates Launches New Website

Yamaha are proud to announce the launch of long time Yamaha artist Simon Bates' new official website.

The site features news, gigs, videos, images, plus of course the all important details on Simon's favourite instruments, and the reasons why he has chosen to play Yamaha for so many years.

Simon has been an official Yamaha endorsee for over 15 years, with the Tenor saxophone being his main workhorse. However his flexibility and skills with instruments from across the woodwind family (plus some percussion!) have made Simon in great demand as a session musician. As well as playing a Yamaha tenor sax, Simon also chooses Yamaha alto sax, Soprano Sax, Bb Clarinet, Flute, Alto Flute and Piccolo.

Outside his busy calendar as a session player Simon also holds the important position of professor of Saxophone for the Royal Marines, teaching and influencing some of our top military musicians, who themselves often go on to flourishing musical careers outside the army.

Simon's versatility and skill on such a variety on inftruments sees him regularly working in the fields of pop, jazz, on television, and as a soloist and clinician.
