Saturday 21st March 2009 sees the first ever Analogue To Digital Music Expo taking place at 'The Phoenix' in Exeter.

As part of Exeter’s 2009 Vibraphonic Festival, Sound Gallery Studio is proud to host Exeter's first ever Music Technology Expo. A whole day of 'hands on' demonstrations, masterclasses, workshops, Q&As and live performances all under one roof.

This years Vibraphonic Festival is set to go out with a digital bang! Whether you're a Guitarist that wants 'retro sounds without vintage headaches', a DJ that needs 'to go beyond vinyl' or a Producer 'ahead of the curve' there will be something for you.

Yamaha Music Production will be in attendance with product demonstrators on hand to get you making music with TENORI-ON – the multi-award winning new instrument that uniquely marries music and art inspiring new directions, new music and new genres.

A five year partnership with inventor and media artist Toshio Iwai led to the phenomenon that is TENORI-ON - a completely new concept in portable music-making and performance art and one of the most forward thinking instruments of our lifetime that puts all of the necessary tools for music creation right in the palm of your hand.

The TENORI-ON is a unique 16 x 16 LED button matrix performance controller with a stunning visual display. By operating and interacting with the LED buttons and the light they produce you gain access to the TENORI-ON's numerous performance capabilities that merge cutting edge digital music performance technology with the ability to create a stunning visual experience.

In addition to the workshops, demo's and masterclasses, the Sound Gallery will also be hosting an evening showcase gig at the Voodoo Lounge where local hero/musician Ellie Williams will be performing an exclusive acoustic set from her new album, plus performances from artists Kat Marsh, Sezrah, Dan Crisp and Mindlobster.

Tickets for the event are on sale now costing £3 in advance or £5 on the day and entitle each entrant to ‘access all areas’ as well as a chance to win something special in the grand prize draw.
