The company is now entering the iPod market with four new stylish, high-performance products. Yamaha have applied the huge experience gained in these specialist sectors to these new products comprising all-in-one entertainment systems and highly specified speaker setups.
The company has identified strong demand for high quality amongst a group of discerning customers. Top-end sound quality and instant wireless remote control were singled out as priorities and Yamaha established a dedicated R&D department in 2006 to address these issues.
These new products are the results with the brilliant new PDX50 heading up the range and the first product to feature the unique ‘Air-Wired’ technology that, unlike other wireless iPod audio systems, delivers lossless, uncompressed data.
The PDX50, an attractive, compact and lightweight speaker system delivers highly detailed and dynamic sound and is powered by a newly designed digital amplifier system providing extra solidity and depth. This new system ensures a powerful and well-balanced audio delivery right across the frequency spectrum whilst the 8cm speaker unit provides a strong, rich bass sound thus delivering outstanding natural sound qualities.
The 'dock less' PDX50 delivers a quality of sound superior to other wireless systems because, unlike the Bluetooth technology employed by other manufacturers to send compressed data, the PDX50 uses Yamaha's unique Air-Wired technology to send lossless, uncompressed data. And no pairing is necessary - you just activate your iPod to establish a wireless connection.
Instant real-time remote control is provided via a small wireless transmitter that attaches to the iPod. And, because there’s no delay, the PDX50 is also perfect for video and games content thanks to its seamless synchronization capability. Available in a variety of colours including black, blue, gray and pink.
The attractive and compact PDX30 features an iPod dock atop the unit and delivers powerful, clean sound quality with the same clarity and dynamics as the PDX50. The digital amplifier delivers extremely low noise and distortion levels. The PDX30 is available in black, blue, gray and pink finishes.
