New Yamaha Student Line-up is Top of the Class

This spring sees the launch of Yamaha’s biggest and best ever range of student and intermediate level brass and woodwind instruments.
Yamaha’s 2012 student lineup introduces new trumpets, cornets, alto and tenor saxophones plus a new student clarinet; all featuring a number of significant changes and improvements designed to benefit both players and technicians.
Building on Yamaha’s unrivalled reputation for quality and durability the new range is high spec, visually stunning with many professional features, yet designed to be easy to play, beginner friendly and individually crafted for perfect intonation.
Despite many improvements and changes, the new student instruments line up at the same price as the old ones to offer customers better value than ever.
At an initial launch to introduce dealers to the new range at Yamaha’s UK headquarters in Milton Keynes, Yamaha artists Simon Bates (professor of saxophone, Royal Marines) demonstrated the new woodwind instruments and Philippe Schartz (principal trumpet, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and professor of trumpet at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama) demonstrated the new brass. Both players were stunned at how far they could push the instruments and the potential they had for students as their playing develops. They stated that these instruments completely raise the bar in what one can expect from instruments in this class, making playing as easy as possible for complete beginners through to taking students well beyond grade 8 with the intermediate models
All of the new instruments have been significantly upgraded and improved from the previous models, taking into account feedback received from Students, teachers, technicians and dealers. Many of the changes and advances have been made utilising the skills and experience gained from developing professional instruments, where much time and money is invested across a global R&D network working with the World’s best players and instrument craftsmen.
To accompany the new range, a new brochure giving full specification and details of the entire Yamaha student range (new models plus existing ones) will shortly be available. The brochure will outline Yamaha’s dedication to building high quality long lasting student instruments that give beginners the best start possible.
