Bedford School, in association with Piano Manufacturer Yamaha are to host a series of three, world-class Piano recitals in July as part of its International Piano Academy scheme. Now in it’s fourth year the acclaimed Academy assists the UK’s best young classical piano talent through a series of workshops, masterclasses and seminars. Promoted in partnership with Yamaha, whose UK headquarters are located in nearby Milton Keynes, the Academy will run from July 14th to July 25th. . The piano recitals offer a great opportunity for classical music lovers and provide a rare treat to experience world class pianists performing locally. The opening concert will be given on July 16 by the acclaimed and award winning Georgian pianist Marina Nadiradze who will play works by Scarlatti, Mozart, Beethoven and Prokofiev. Since her arrival in Britain Marina has been captivating audiences across Europe and the UK with her unique blend of artistry and passion. On July 22 the audience will have an opportunity to hear outstanding performances from a selection of the Piano Academy Scholars who will be playing a varied and exciting programme. The third and final recital on July 23rd will see the prize-winning Ukrainian Pianist Sasha Grynyuk performing works by Debussy, Bach and Chopin. Philip Jenkins from the piano teaching faculty at Bedford School comments “ these recitals represent a fantastic opportunity for people to come along and hear two of the world’s finest players alongside some of the most exceptional up and coming players from around the world.
