Following the high profile launch of the acclaimed pan- European Yamaha Piano Technicians Guild programme at The Frankfurt Music Messe earlier this year Yamaha Music UK recently held the first in a series of three high level training seminars at it's headquarters in Milton Keynes. The seminars build on Yamaha's commitment to promote and develop the highest standards of piano technical support for its award winning handcrafted piano series. By introducing the programme Yamaha have established valuable partnerships with highly skilled piano technicians throughout Europe who can offer all customers excellent service locally, including touring artists, concert venues as well as private clients. The Yamaha Guild mark has also become a recognised label of quality assurance and a coveted qualification amongst established and prospective members. The first seminar, held over two days and led by Yamaha's Piano Technical Manager Neil Farrar focussed on grand piano regulation, and subsequent training will cover damper regulation and voicing techniques. Yamaha's Senior Director Mike Ketley comments “This exclusive accreditation programme provides Yamaha Pianos with world class technical support throughout Europe and ensures our flagship handcrafted models are always in the best technical condition. Members of the Guild also help us to further distinguish and promote the exceptional quality of Yamaha pianos whilst at the same time allowing us to strengthen our valuable relationships with the technical communities for the benefit of our customers, and our overall quality performance."
