The LJ body shape gives the LJ26 a wide, open sound with slightly softened mid-range, ideally suited to modern chord and fingerstyle playing and the perfect backing for singer/songwriters. Hand-selected solid Engelmann spruce and Indian rosewood give strong, solid projection, excellent balance and sumptuous looks.
The flagship L-Series boasts a number of unique player-focused construction features including a 5-ply vintage ‘V’ profile laminated neck for incredible strength, outstanding comfort and fabulous tone, the L-Series enlarged neck block for greater sustain and stability, Square Frame Side Bracing to more effectively transmit the vibrations of the guitar’s top to the rest of the body for enhanced low-frequency response and Yamaha’s exclusive ARE wood treatment to pre-age the tone of the guitar – creating a brand new guitar that sounds like it’s been played for 15 years.
