The LJ is a big sounding guitar in any specification, but the LJ36 is larger than life thanks to it’s combination of the big, curvy LJ body, hand selected premium tonewoods and the L-Series features designed to get the whole guitar making a sound that’s nothing short of huge. 

The LJ body shape is designed to have a softened midrange response, with increased lows and highs, to give a perfect contemporary sound that’s wide, open and rich – perfect for fingerstyle or chord work and simply incredible for singer/songwriters. The use of the finest solid Englemann spruce and solid Indian Rosewood on the LJ36, finished with Yamaha’s ultra-thin Nitro-Cellulose finish packs incredible presence and balance into the package while the L-Series construction features like Square Frame Side Bracing, an enlarged ‘C’ shape neck block and 5-ply laminated ‘V’ profile neck maximise stability, tone and sustain, combine to maximise sustain, power and tonal range.

Featuring Yamaha’s exclusive ARE treatment, the top of the guitar is pre-aged, physically replicating the changes that an acoustic guitar undergoes with time and making the LJ36 sound like it’s been played for 15 years, straight from the box.

Top of the line construction and materials are joined by suitably appointed cosmetics with hand-inlaid abalone and flame maple giving the 36 models stunning looks to match their incredible sound and feel.
