Yamaha revstar Guitar attends The Ace Cafe London!

Ace Cafe London’s forthcoming annual Yamaha Bike Day, next to be held at the Ace on Sunday 8th May, includes with Yamaha Music showcasing their recently launched  new range of Yamaha Revstar electric guitars, based on the Yamaha cafe racer motor bikes of old, this unique “Music & Motors” event unites Yamaha bikes and Guitars at the Ace!

Motor bikes and guitars, burnt rubber and music with the venue, bikes and guitars all heaped in a rich musical heritage.
The infamous Ace Cafe first opened its doors in 1938 to cater for the through traffic of the then new North Circular Road, within a year it was fully focused on the motor trade, and attracting riders and drivers from all over the country.  The post-war increase in road traffic and advent of the "teenage" phenomena saw the Ace Cafe booming, and with it, the arrival of the "Ton-Up-Boys". The British motorcycle industry was at its peak, and along came Rock ´n´ Roll. Banned and not played on radio stations, initially the only place it could be heard was at fairgrounds or on jukeboxes at transport cafes such as the Ace.

The Ace became the place to meet, have a meal or cup of tea and arrange runs (often to other cafes or the coast) or simply to mend your bike and listen to music.  From this powerful fusion of motorbikes and Rock ´n´ Roll came the legends of record-racing, "drop the coin right into the slot" and then race to a given point and back before the record finished.  The Ace Cafe, with its combination of motorbikes, speed and Rock ´n´ Roll was the Launchpad for many famous racers and the birthplace of many bands.

Drawing inspiration from both London and Tokyo’s vintage street-racing motorbikes, Japan’s heritage of engineering excellence, and Yamaha’s 50-year legacy of guitar craftsmanship, every detail of each Revstar model has been carefully engineered to bring out the unique personality of each guitar in the line-up. From the curves and contours of the ground-up body design to the distinctive colours and finishes and custom-wound pickups that perfectly match the guitar’s character, the Revstar collection comprises a diverse line-up as the guitarists who play them.
