Introduction
Following a hugely successful pilot in London last October, Yamaha Music Europe GmbH (UK) are free to announce that Yamaha’s FREE 3-day festival devoted entirely to drumming, takes a giant leap forward for 2017.
Yamaha Drums UK are delighted to announce that DRUMFEST has been extended across the UK, with five specialist drum stores now preparing to host the festival in Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow and London. Taking place from August through to October, DRUMFEST offers a 3-day weekend feast of live drumming and drum workshops from Fridays to Sundays, culminating in each location with the live Regional Final of #FUTUREBEAT - Yamaha’s ground-breaking and prestigious national competition to discover and showcase the next generation of drummers aged 18 years and under.
DRUMFEST will be filled with activity to attract a wide range of customers from young to old, Experienced to newcomers and everyone in-between. A detailed schedule of activities will be announced over the coming weeks, to include:

Throughout DRUMFEST, experts from Yamaha Drums will be on hand to present daily Tech Sessions covering a vast range of drumming and kit related topics from ‘Tuning Drums for Beginners’ to ‘Hybrid Drumming’.

Those attending have the opportunity to enjoy stunning live performances and a program of ‘Evening With’ sessions from influential UK professional drummers which will be announced over the coming weeks.

Originally previewed at the international NAMM show in LA to an admiring audience, visitors to DRUMFEST will have the opportunity to experience a 360 degree virtual reality experience of Steve Gadd as they are transported to the legendary Metropolis Studios in London to experience him putting his drum kit through its paces.
