Yamaha CFX Echoes with Nicholas McCarthy

Internationally acclaimed concert pianist and Yamaha Artist Nicholas McCarthy is one of the world's most inspirational musicians.

Born without his right hand, he is now at the forefront of new British classical music talent and his latest album 'Echoes', recorded on Yamaha CFX is a brilliant combination of Bach and Rachmaninoff that will further enhance his growing global reputation and sure to find new fans around the world.

Studio or concert platform, Yamaha is proud to have supported Nicholas since his debut album in 2015, and that his instrument of choice is Yamaha CFX.

The Nicholas McCarthy musical journey begins at age 14 when he was told he'd never achieve his dream of becoming a concert pianist. Ignoring this advice and undeterred he became the first one-handed pianist to win a place at London's prestigious Royal College of Music. This achievement alone made international headlines, thus starting a now huge fan base of music lovers and inspired supporters that grows each day.

Recognising his exceptional talent and inspirational reach Nicholas was invited to perform to a worldwide audience of half a billion when he played alongside Coldplay at the closing ceremony of London's Paralympics in 2016.

When not performing around the world Nicholas is in high demand as a motivational speaker and TV presenter, always ensuring he inspires and surprises the next generation of musical talent with his magical communication skills.
