One of the world’s greatest American jazz trumpeters is crossing over the pond to play a rare UK date, courtesy of the world’s largest music brand - Yamaha.

On Sunday 5th March, Wayne Bergeron will take centre stage at London music venue ‘Under The Bridge’ in Chelsea, for a special concert, accompanied by The Craig Wild Big Band, comprising some of the UK’s top jazz musicians. This is a unique opportunity for one night only that offers a musical feast for anyone with an interest in jazz and big band music. Wayne Bergeron has featured on hundreds of recordings as the chosen sideman to a stellar lineup of artists including, Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Barbra Streisand, Mel Torme, Beyoncé, Michael Buble, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Diana Krall, Christina Aguilera, Arturo Sandoval, Sammy Nestico, Billy Joel, Barry Manilow and Robbie Williams, to name but a few, and has over 350 major TV and film credits as a soloist. Mentored by legends like Uan Racey, Bobby Shew, Warren Luening, and George Graham, Wayne Bergeron’s first big break was playing lead trumpet with Maynard Ferguson’s band in 1986, and his career since has seen him become one of the world’s most sought after touring and studio musicians.

A Yamaha International Artist and co-designer of the YTR-8335LA trumpet and YFH-8315G Flugel Horn, Wayne is touring Europe with Yamaha for the first time since 2012, and is looking forward to re-uniting with fellow Yamaha trumpet artist Craig Wild and his amazing band, at the sensational and state-of-the-art Under The Bridge. Craig Wild is one of London’s most in demand lead trumpet players and bandleaders, with a CV including working with artists, bands and orchestras such as The Glen Miller orchestra, Nancy Sinatra, Barry Manilow, Tony Christy, Strictly Come Dancing, Katie Melua, Bobby Shew, James Morrison and leading the acclaimed Maynard Ferguson tribute band ‘Blue Birdland’.
