Yamaha searches for next generation Trumpet scholars

The Trumpet is the chosen instrument for this years acclaimed Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship Awards.

Yamaha are offering awards of 2000 Euros to three awarded Scholars who will compete in the live final at the Royal Academy of Music, London on 24th February 2019 before a panel of eminent professionals players and leading educationalists. Applications are sought from students under 25 years of age who are studying music full-time at a higher education institute.

Winning instrumentalists may use their scholarship money for any purpose related to the advancement of studies

Founded in 1989, the acclaimed pan-European Yamaha Music Scholarship scheme operates in thirty-one European countries and has now provided over 850 scholarships, worth over one million Euros. Many Yamaha scholars have progressed to develop outstanding careers in performance and education. Alumni include saxophonist Amy Dickson, euphonium player David Childs, and pianists Eduard Kunz and Sasha Grynyuk.
