Top Tunes on the Thames as Yamaha unveil New Commercial Trumpet
On Sunday 4th November Yamaha Music Europe GmbH (UK) took to the River Thames with some of the UK's most critically acclaimed and in-demand musicians to unveil and showcase their eagerly awaited new Commercial Trumpet.
The trumpet was put through its paces to an exclusive audience comprising of pro players, press, competition winners and VIP guests. The all -star Yamaha trumpet line-up comprising of Andrea Tofanelli, Georgina Jackson, Craig Wild and Tony Fisher wowed guests with an electrifying performance showcasing the new Commercial trumpet.
Equally at home, on stage or in the studio the new Commercial Trumpet looks set to become the first choice of discerning players across a wide variety of musical settings from jazz to rock & pop. Over 2 years in the making the instrument has been developed entirely at Yamaha’s Atelier in Hamburg in collaboration with some of the world’s top players.
The soloists were backed by a trio of top session musicians, all of whom produced an unforgettable evening of music and energy befitting the new Trumpet. The staff on the Elizabethan commented it was one of the most inspiring musical events they had witnessed.
Eddie Veit, Brass Technician at the Yamaha Atelier in Hamburg commented “My dream was to develop an instrument that would be useful for all kinds of music. I wanted something really vibrant and responsive. It also should be fun to play without making you exhausted after long gigs.”
