Tune into Yamaha TransAcoustic Pianos on Tour with Maya Irgalina and Matt Finch
Yamaha are showcasing their Award-Winning TransAcoustic Pianos in the very capable hands of internationally acclaimed classical pianist Maya Irgalina and multi-faceted Pianist and composer Matt Finch in March.
Taking place in Glasgow, Liverpool, Wimbledon, Cambridge and London between 19th – 26th March Maya and Matt will provide music lovers and piano fans a rare opportunity to hear and experience the unique hybrid TransAcoustic GC1 Grand piano in the hands of two of Europe's finest instrumentalists.
Yamaha is without question the world's most successful piano manufacturer and music technology innovator, these enviable disciplines combine in TransAcoustic with remarkable results.
The possibilities available to pianists, teachers and composers are redefined with a total redesign of the traditional instrument. The traditional wooden soundboard being transformed into a loudspeaker, allowing the pianist to adjust the volume acoustically whilst also accessing a wide variety of other keyboard and instrument sounds, and of course, play on headphones.
Tickets are free but demand is expected to exceed supply so early booking is advised. In addition to experiencing an inspiring and entertaining music programme, guests will have the opportunity to chat to the performers themselves alongside Yamaha's expert piano team learning more about the creative possibilities offered through the TransAcoustic Experience.
Hailing from Belorussia, Maya Irgalina is an emerging star of the classical concert platform amassing prizes and acclaimed at many of the world's most prestigious piano competitions, she has performed at London's famed Wigmore Hall and The Barbican and broadcast on BBC Radio 3. To hear Maya outside of London is a rare treat. Joining Maya on the TransAcoustic will be Matt Finch who, in between a busy performance schedule finds time to teach, compose and guest with a wide range of bands.
