Craig Wild

Starting with a brass band upbringing in Rochdale, Craig went on to study Band Musicianship at University College, Salford, studying with Dave Browning.

During his youth, Craig played with the Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra for many years, touring the World, and also spent three years with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra

Craig now spends most of his time in London where he is in demand for his high playing and for his versatility. He has played on many TV shows, west end shows, TV commercials, video game soundtracks, movies soundtracks, big bands and orchestras. Craig’s recent TV highlights include being a member of the highly acclaimed band on the popular BBC1 show Strictly Come Dancing.

Craig is also a regular dep with the likes of the BBC Big Band, Ronnie Scotts Big Band, the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, the Bert Kaempfert Orchestra and the BBC Concert Orchestra, to name but a few.

Whilst playing with various bands, both on tour and on TV, Craig has backed many high profile artists, including Barry Manilow, Donny Osmond, Tony Christie, Sir Bruce Forsyth, Nancy Sinatra, The Temptations, Curtis Stigers, Kelly Osbourne, Katherine Jenkins, Marc Almond, Andy Williams, Dame Shirley Bassey, Alesha Dixon, Dionne Warwick, Brian May and many others.

Craig exclusively plays Yamaha instruments and mouthpieces.
