Developed by a team of guitarists in search of the ultimate tone, THR delivers the sound that you want and the feeling that you need. Every part of its design, from the preamp to the speaker enclosure, is focused on delivering an outstanding playing experience that belies its ultra-compact size.Thanks to Yamaha's exclusive Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) technology, stadium filling volume isn't a pre-requisite to the unmistakable tone and feel of a cranked amp. VCM gives THR the power to model real amps incredibly accurately, with each control responding and working exactly as it does on the real thing. Turn the master up on THR and it doesn't just get louder, the gain, tone and compression characteristics change in exactly the same way they do on the real thing. Add in modeled stompbox effects and incredible reverbs and delays using technology based on Yamaha's industry standard audio mixers and you have the recipe for a sound that will make you want to keep playing all night...
