YC Series - YC61, YC73 and YC88

The main differences are in the on-board sound sources, sounds, and effects.

Sounds: While the CP88/73 has only AWM2 sound source and mainly piano/electric piano, the YC series has three sound source systems, VCM organ sound source, FM sound source and AWM2 sound source, and has a well-balanced voice lineup with selected piano/electric piano from CP, organ and synth sounds etc.

Effects: The YC series features the newly developed VCM rotary speaker and VCM effects, which use VCM technology.

Operators: The YC series is equipped with a physical drawbar for organ playing.

In addition to different keys, dimensions, and weights, each is equipped with an optimized LIVE SET. The YC73/88 is also compatible with the music rest "YMR-04".

VCM (Virtual Circuitry Modeling) technology is Yamaha's advanced modeling technology that models analog circuits at the component level, faithfully reproducing the saturated sound and nonlinear characteristics of analog devices. The YC series features organs, rotary speakers and effects that utilize VCM technology.

As of OS v1.4, there are 10 types of organs using the new VCM organ and FM sound sources, various pianos and electric pianos, strings, synth sounds, etc. A total of 191 tones and 144 live set sounds combining these tones are built in. Other sounds may be added through firmware updates.

Approximately 3 seconds.

Organ-drawbars are levers that control the organ's sound, each assigned a different pitch, and the combination of these levers can produce a variety of organ sounds.
