Types 1 and 2 feature relatively mild distortion that allows natural nuances. Types 3 and 4 have more pronounced overtones, resulting in a fat, soft tone. Types 5 and 6 deliver wild, aggressive distortion with a tight attack. The even-numbered amp types have greater presence and range than the odd-numbered types.
