The RM-CG dynamic ceiling array microphone features multi-beam tracking technology which focuses on voices. Thanks to the special spiral layout of its microphone elements, the RM-CG provides the narrowest, most precise beam for voice capture, while continuous background noise is eliminated using Yamaha’s advanced noise reduction algorithms and Human Voice Activity Detection (HVAD). Combined with its beam tracking technology, it can clearly pick up individual voices, even when more than one person is speaking. Dante audio and the control and power are supplied through one LAN cable, while three different mounting methods - ceiling, VESA and wire mount - are included to suit any space.
The RM-CR conference processor automatically recognizes Dante microphones and speakers on the same network. During commissioning it automatically sets the optimum sound settings for the environment, taking into account the location of speakers and microphones, the room’s reverberation characteristics and echo responses. Auto-tuning is achieved with a simple, five-step process using a special web-based interface. The RM-CG performs auto mixing of all connected Dante audio sources and the conference processor can handle a wide range of sources, including dynamic microphones, analog line level I/O, USB, Bluetooth and SIP telephony.

Multi-beam tracking is a signal processing technology that can track multiple speakers by combining the use of Beamforming technology, which forms directivity with multiple microphone elements to pick up sound, to create multiple beams, and dynamic tracking technology, which allows each beam to cleverly track different speakers' voice when multiple speakers are present.
The four dynamic beams simultaneously track multiple people, allowing for lively conversations. With a narrow directivity of each beam, the system accurately captures speech while suppressing background noise, enabling a highly intelligible voice to the far end.
While other echo canceller's measure the room and set levels once, Yamaha's adaptive echo cancellation is constantly scanning the environment for changes to deliver an uninterrupted, echo-free audio stream.
This sound technology automatically adjusts voice levels to deliver a consistent, optimal volume level to the far-end, no matter if some voices are louder vs. weaker or closer vs. further away from the microphone. This automatic feature enables everyone to hear or be heard at an ideal level.
When constant noise like a projector fan or air conditioner system enters the communication space, Yamaha's Noise Reduction technology removes these components to clearly convey the presenter's audio to the far-end.
Reverberation from an acoustically-poor environment can make it difficult to distinguish a clear voice signal. Dereverberation suppresses these reverb components to deliver a highly-intelligible output.
